Our Story

David W. Mooney Jr., Architects is a full service Architectural firm with locations in Rye, New York and Manchester, Vermont. The firm has designed numerous custom homes in Westchester and Fairfield Counties, restaurants, retail spaces, commercial, and industrial buildings.

Mr. Mooney, the principal, is a member of the American Institute of Architects, New York Society of Architects, and is board certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards.

Mr. Mooney is a LEED Accredited Professional after passing the United States Green Building Council examination for Green Buildings New Constriction. With a major emphasis on “Green Building, the firm has recently completed the design of a new “green” environmental high school campus in New England. Mr. Mooney is also the founder and president of SEV Inc. a solar energy venture based in Rye, NY and San Antonio TX.

Mr. Mooney attended Boston Architectural and Pratt Institute and received his Bachelor of Architecture in 1980. Mr. Mooney also has a Master of Science in Real Estate Investment and Development from New York University.

Prior to establishing his own firm Mr. Mooney was responsible for the design and construction of over $350 million dollars of commercial and residential projects in the tri-state area.
